The first day!

Wow, today was my first day at the university :D The university is 30 minutes away from my place. I reached there by 2 PM, did the registration and hung around. I was asked to get back at 6 PM for the dinner. So instead of going back home, I went to the London bridge, roamed around, had food and they got back to the university. There they served a really awesome dinner! Met a lot of international students from Europe, Asia, Africa.. (the dinner was for intl. students only). Tomorrow the university opens official to all.

Now talking about the university, its huge :D Huge campus, dozens and dozens of old British style buildings and also a bunch of modern ones. But what I liked the most is the newly built 'Sheppard library'. Its really AWESOME, huge building, hi-tech stuff. The inside looked really futuristic.

Anyway, I haven't been able to see the university fully, but I'll get to see in the coming days. Classes start the coming Monday, till then, various programmes like tours, sightseeing, parties and all.

So long.. !

Yeah, your bloggie is kind of pictureless. It's time to change that a bit.
And London bridge? You meant tower bridge right? I thought the London bridge has fallen down =X
Have fun partying!

Kailash,
It seems your software niche is to develop effective apps in a more concise manner. How'd you get started? And for a newbie to the world of programming, but eager to learn, what would you recommend in the way of a first step?

Hello Daniel. The secret to success is 'Trial and error' :) atleast, in my case. As a newbie, I would read a lot online, and do 'trial and error' experiments with code which is available in plenty on the internet.

What is the status on VINE? I am very interested in the latest release. Is it still under development? Please email and advise.

Good luck and don't let the schedule get you down. You'll be writing 16 hours a day and stressing about the grade you'll get for your project. Plus the great thing about college is the collaboration, exchanging new ideas (and scripts), and meeting people (and females) that you'd never meet elsewhere.

Here's a cool project a guy just finished as his final.

He's in the process of turning it into a desktop and a screen saver that you can plug any feed you want to into.
